Start with the basics
First decide your sanctioned load — a normal home needs 1–5 kW — and your connection type (domestic, commercial, industrial, tube-well). Load size drives both your demand-notice cost and the fixed charges on every future bill.
How to apply
1
Apply online through LESCO's new-connection service on lesco.gov.pk, or in person at your nearest LESCO office.
2
Documents usually asked for: CNIC copy, ownership or tenancy proof (registry / rent agreement), and a neighbour's bill copy — it shows the nearest pole or transformer for the survey team.
3
Site survey. LESCO staff visit to check feasibility and the closest connection point.
4
Demand notice. You'll get a payable notice covering the service line and meter. Pay it at the nominated bank before it expires.
5
Meter installation. After payment is verified, LESCO installs the meter and energises the line. Keep the paid receipt safe until the meter is in.
Avoiding delays
- Use the exact name from your CNIC and property papers everywhere — mismatches stall most applications.
- Domestic connections move fastest; commercial and industrial need extra approvals.
- Your first bill comes after the first full reading cycle — allow 4–6 weeks before it appears online.
